1930s Leedy Drumset

April 14, 2013

Continuing today’s Leedy goodness is this awesome drum set from the time just between the first simple drum sets and the modern drum set concept. The toms on this drum set retain the tacked-on pigskin of Chinese tom-toms, but you can see the contemporary shell shape starting to form. The Broadway standard snare on this one is probably wonderful, and it would all likely clean up very nicely with a little elbow grease!
