1960s Leedy Drumset

April 19, 2013

Leedy drums from the 60s are often called “SlingerLeedys” due to the fact that Slingerland purchased the brand rights from Conn after the short-lived Leedy & Ludwig brand became defunct. The drums are basically Slingerland drums with a different lug and badge design. Because of this complicated history, SlingerLeedys haven’t commanded much attention from the vintage drum community. Nonetheless, there are many players who love their look and sound, and they definitely offer a great value for aged wood, round-over bearing edge vintage drums! This particular kit looks beautiful in a striking Green Glass finish.
