1960s Kent Drumset

April 20, 2013

Kent was a cheaper brand of American-made drums that was started by ex-employees of Gretsch. You can see some of the cost-saving elements in this kit, such as single center-mounted lugs and foil sticker badges, but that doesn’t mean they can’t sound good. The quality for Kent drums is very hit-or-miss, but the great ones easily rival anything by Gretsch, Ludwig, Slingerland or Rogers (the big four). You certainly can’t go very wrong at the starting price for these particular drums!
