1960s Camco Aristocrat Snare

May 3, 2013

Camco enthusiasts are very vocal about how much better the drums made in Oaklawn Illinois were than those from other factories. The Oaklawn combination of thin shells and chrome-over-brass (COB) hoops is a classic recipe for amazing drum tone. This particular specimen is pretty yellowed, but not to the point that it’s an issue, in my opinion. This is a really nice snare, and these are getting tougher to find.
